The Capacity of the Pharmaceutical Industry on the 40th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran:
The ceremony “Capacity of the pharmaceutical industry on the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran” was held on Saturday 2nd of March with the presence of Dr. Saeed Namaki the Minister of Health, other officials of the ministry of health, parliamentarians and etc. at the International Conference Hall of Olympic Hotel.
Directors of industries, organizations, syndicates and associations who are active in the pharmaceutical industry were among the participants in the event.
During the ceremony, 120 medications that were produced in the country in the past year and obtained their license from the Food and Drug Administration were unveiled.
40 chemical drugs, 40 herbal drugs, and 40 biological drugs were out of these 120 medications.
Dakpha Pharmaceutical Group was present at the exhibition with two products: Sorafininb and Apixaban.
The API of Apixaban is produced in Alborz Pharmed Pharmaceuticals Company and is used for reducing the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (AF), prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to pulmonary embolism (PE) in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery and treatment of DVT or PE.
The API of Sorafenib is produced in a Knowledge-Based company, Baran Chemical & Pharmaceutical, and it is used to treat thyroid, liver and kidney cancers.
